GXO Logistics Inc. (NYSE: GXO) Marks One-Year Anniversary of Its Collaboration with Currys plc

The world’s biggest pure-play contract logistics provider, GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) moves up 1.63% in early trading session on Tuesday as it is marking the one-year anniversary of its collaboration with Currys plc. GXO manages four Currys distribution sites in the UK and Ireland, as well as omnichannel fulfillment and returns logistics.

GXO reduced Currys’ supplier structure in the first year of their collaboration, unlocking efficiencies by reducing non-value-added work. GXO increased its scope earlier this year to handle Currys’ core transport services to complement its warehouse solutions, offering comprehensive end-to-end supply chain value.

In addition, GXO assisted Currys in meeting TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings, Protection of Employment) regulations by welcoming almost 1,800 workers. GXO currently collaborates with Currys on a wide range of diversity and inclusion activities, including recruiting team members through nonprofit organizations such as WorkFit and Mencap.

GXO’s Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, Gavin Williams stated that they are thrilled with the outcomes of their relationship with Currys in their first year, bringing GXO’s logistical experience in consumer technology to Currys’ great company. Both firms are dedicated to operating efficiency and placing safety first, and their highly competent personnel know how to produce significant savings. They look forward to working with Currys to create even more efficiencies and satisfy Currys’ customers from purchase to delivery.

Chief Operating Officer at Currys plc, Lindsay Haselhurst said that Partnering with GXO to run their UK warehouse operations was a great decision. The company plays a key role in the success of their ‘Brilliant Basics’ plan, which they designed to improve their supply chain and service operations. They customers expect the best online and in-store experience, and GXO is helping us meet and even exceed their expectations. They’re looking forward to continued success with GXO in the years ahead.

GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) will hold its third quarter conference call and webcast on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. Eastern Time. The company’s results will be released after market close on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, and made available on investors.gxo.com at that time.
